Natural Nootropics for Memory

3. Acetyl-L-Carnitine

There have been studies which suggest that this amino acid may be beneficial in assisting patients with Alzheimer’s and memory issues. It has also shown to be beneficial for those with early onset as well as a fast rate of this disease.

4. Vitamin E

Although it seems as if Vitamin E does not lower the risk of someone developing Alzheimer┬┤s, it does appear to slow its progression. That being said, studies have given way to concern about an increased risk of death among unhealthy people who have taken high doses of Vitamin E, so before taking this supplement, it is crucial that you consult your doctor.

5. Panax or Asian Ginseng

Sometimes this herb is used with Ginkgo biloba, and experts say that Panax or Asian Ginseng can help with fatigue issues as well as to improve quality of life. Although the memory benefits in itself have mostly shown up only in a subset or small group of study participants.

Although these supplements can be helpful for your memory and overall health, before you add any of them to your diet, make sure to consult your primary care physician and have a pharmacist check for any potential interactions with any other supplements or medications you may be currently taking.
